Sailing and hiking to discover the Northern Lights
In collaboration with Offtrack Experience , your mountain guide, Aurélie_Happyshoes, is looking forward to taking you hiking in Norway, to discover the Northern Lights and the fascinating colors of the Far North in autumn. From Tromsö we will take the ferry to Reinfjord, from where we will begin our autumn hikes. We will also have the chance to board Delphine's sailing boat and discover new lands, accessible only by boat.
Welcome to Reinfjord, a beautiful, peaceful fishing village nestled between the mountains and the sea. The house is located on the edge of the fjord and features its own private sauna. Accessible only by boat, it's one of the least populated places in Europe. Admire the mountain peaks and ever-changing landscapes from your breakfast table. It's the perfect place for whale watching and hiking adventures! All excursions from Reinfjord include our sailing boat "Mutine," which gives you the freedom to explore the area.
Beyond the Arctic Circle, Norway's northern coast offers incredible landscapes, between 68° and 70° north. We adapt our trip to the weather and possible hikes: the itinerary is flexible and evolves throughout the day, allowing you to admire some of these incredible landscapes that attract enthusiasts from all over the world.
Our sailboat will take you to the most secret fjords and fishing villages, to share an extraordinary journey. We look forward to showing you the magnificent Arctic nature, immersing you in local history, and showing you the best of Norwegian culture!
Accommodation: We use our house in Reinfjord, combined with sailing aboard the Mutine, a comfortable sailboat equipped for the Arctic.

Program
Day 1: Welcome by Aurélie_Happyshoes in Tromsö. We will take the ferry to Reinfjord where we will meet Delphine and Espen in Reinfjord. Settle into the house, discover the sailboat, welcome dinner and plan the week according to the weather and your wishes.
Days 2-7: We spend a few hours sailing and a few hours exploring the coast each day. We have the option of hiking to remote islands with beautiful sea views (and lots of blueberry and cloudberry picking!) or to higher mountains, depending on your wishes. We can also spend a leisurely day at the beach or exploring the coastline on a stand-up paddleboard. It's also possible to split the group, with some going on a longer hike while the others return to the boat for a well-deserved hot chocolate. In the evening, we'll combine anchoring in remote archipelagos with visiting small fishing ports. With a bit of luck, we'll catch our own cod and grill it on the beach!
Day 8: Return by speedboat to Tromsø after a good farewell dinner with our hosts.

Program
16.09.2026: Independent flight from your place of residence to Tromso, where we will meet on Thursday, 17.09.2026 (exact time to be specified) at the port of Tromsö. We will take the ferry to Reinfjord where we will meet Delphine from Offtrack Experience. We will check in and take our rooms.
19 - 23.09.2025: Guided hikes by Aurélie_Happyshoes, nights on the sailboat and in the lodge
24.09.2025: Return with the sailboat to Tromsö from where we can take a flight back to Switzerland.

Insurance
It is the participant's responsibility to take out health and accident insurance covering mountain rescue, including extreme sports. It is strongly recommended to join Air Zermatt or another insurance company (CHF 35 per year only for emergency medical assistance from the air).

A warm hat
Sunglasses (category 4 with UV filter) and a cap for the sun (from February to October)

A headlamp with lithium or alkaline batteries (better in low temperatures) and a spare set of batteries
A thermos bottle (1 liter minimum), no hydration backpack
A pocket knife
